Workshops at Carolina Fiber Fest

I’m excited to announce that I will be teaching three knitting workshops at the 2023 Carolina Fiber Fest – running March 8-12. Workshop registration is now live one the Carolina Fiber Fest website. Here are the workshops I’ll be teaching:

Working With Breed-specific Yarns – Have you ever wondered what is so special about breed-specific yarns? In this class we’ll explore characteristics of various wool breeds and participants will have a chance to swatch with several local breed-specific yarns. The class will primarily focus on knitting with these yarns, but is great for crocheters and weavers as well.

Choosing a Sweater Size – Despite what most patterns indicate, using your full bust measurement isn’t always the best way to choose your sweater size. In this workshop, we’ll discuss which measurements to consider in choosing which size to knit.

Knit a Reversible Cabled Shawl – Learn to knit reversible cables using my upcoming pattern Basket of Blossoms Shawl (sneak peek in the photo above).

If you’re local I’d love to see you there!
